Progress of worldwide joint observation for the gravitational wave detection and improvement of calibration accuracy
Precise measurement of gravitational waveform expected to open a new era of gravitational wave physics. The first trial of world wide observation between KAGRA and GEO600 was held on April 2020. Joint group of NCU and Academia Sinica have strongly contributed the calibration study of KAGRA. We have developed the advanced calibration system in past three years and installed it in KAGRA interferometer. The observation accuracy will be limited by the accuracy of calibration instruments at least next observation. The goal of calibration accuracy is sub-% level corresponding to the cosmological requirement. To solve this problem, we developed new calibration system with the gradient of the gravity field. In this talk, I will report the progress of joint observation and calibration studies. I also want to discuss the future possibilities for gravitational wave study.
