Our Mission

1. Establish a research team and research plan.

2. Connect relevant domestic research team and abroad to form a cooperative team to conduct international cooperative research, enhance the international visibility of NYCU and enhance the international competitiveness of our research team.

3. Provide educational activities, invite international experts and scholars to give lectures in workshops, seminars and courses.


Short, Middle run and Long-term plans

1. Short-term:

Cooperate with the National Center for Theoretical Sciences to jointly organize academic activities related to the above research projects both in Taiwan and abroad to enhance research momentum.

2. Middle run-term:

Establish an internationally competitive research team, cooperate with international top theoretical and experimental teams to study quantum computers and to develop novel quantum materials, promote young talent training programs, and cultivate outstanding research young talents.

3. Long-term:

Combine the basic physics research and technological development on novel quantum materials to approach the realization of quantum computers.


Expected Outcomes

CTCP will develop into a Center of Excellence. The overall performance will be measured in terms of outcomes at the internationally competitive level, described as follows:

Academic aspect:

1. Assist the research scholars in NYCU to strengthen their research performance, for instance, to obtain important academic awards and honor both domestically and internationally.

2. Publish research results in high-quality international journals

3. Offer international programs, plan and co-organize English-taught international programs or short-term training courses to promote NYCU’s internationalization.

4. Invite internationally renowned scholars to visit through NCTS.

5. Organize international workshops/conferences to enhance NYCU’s the international visibility.

Industry aspect:

The NYCU research and development department has established development cooperation with relevant domestic and foreign companies to develop key technologies related to quantum computers.


1. 成立研究團隊與執行研究計畫。

2. 連結國內外相關研究團隊組成合作團隊,進行國際合作研究,提升本校的國際能見度及提升研究團隊之國際競爭力。

3. 教育推廣,規劃與領域相關教育活動,邀請國際專家學者進行演講交流、參與工作坊,規劃相關研討會及課程。


近、中及長程規劃

1. 近期:

與國家理論科學中心合作,共同舉辦國內外與上述研究計畫相關之學術活動,以提升研究動能。

2. 中程:

建立國際級研發團隊,與國際頂尖理論與實驗團隊共同合作研究量子電腦所需之物理原理與新穎量子材料開發,持續推動人才培育計劃,培育優秀研發人才。

3. 長程:

將新穎量子材料基礎物理研發成果應用於量子電腦之建構。


具體預期績效

本中心應發展成為卓越中心(Center of Excellence),總體績效應以國際級成果來衡量。茲分述如下:

學術方面:

1. 協助本校相關研究學者提升研究能力,使獲得國內外重要獎項及榮譽。

2. 高品質論文之發表,在頂尖或標竿等高品質國際期刊發表相關研究論文。

3. 開辦國際學程,規劃及協辦以英語授課的國際學程或短期訓練班,協助本校加速國際化。

4. 邀請國際知名學者來訪,透過國家理論科學中心,可邀請國際著名學者來訪,以提升研發能力及密切交流。

5. 國際學術研討會之主協辦,舉辦國際研討會,以供學術交流並提升本校的國際能見度。

產業方面:

經研發處依有關法令規定與相關國內外公司建立開發合作,並發展與量子電腦相關之關鍵技術。
