C-theorems in BCFT and DCFT
I will talk about C-theorems in boundary conformal field theory (BCFT) and defect conformal field theory (DCFT). We conjecture C-theorems, which are monotonicity theorems under RG flows, in general BCFT and DCFT. I will show a concrete computation of the free energy of the conformally coupled scalar field, and check our conjecture using this simple model.
